My name is Irina Singer. I am a 26-year-old founder, award-winning innovator, and business networker.
Looking back over the past years, I have always put education first — ever since I was a child.
As an immigrant from an Eastern-European country, I needed to adapt early to a new language and culture. It has not always been easy, but this experience has shaped my competitiveness and ingenuity.
At the age of 13, I was able to speak three languages, increasing to four by the age of 16. I have been always a curious and adventurous individual. I wrote a historical-political poem, called “Unsere Zeit”, which was published one year later in the anthology of the year 2012, named “Ausgewählte Werke XV”. In 2013 I moved to Canada for one year. At this time, I was able to professionalize my English skills.
Once I returned to Germany, I enrolled in the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld to study Business Psychology. While focusing on my main studies, I also volunteered in several committees. I studied a semester at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and another at the University of Tartu, focusing on the digital transformation in European business.
At this time, I discovered my passion for innovative technology and start-ups. 2019 I won an award for the most innovative business idea in OWL and in 2020 I received two start-up grants.
For me, education doesn’t only mean to achieve academic degrees, but also to expand the horizon through books, creative works, culture, and travels.
On this website, I share my journey as a female founder, discuss topics that interests me personally, and recommend my favorite reads.
